1. Safeguarding children-policy and procedures

J&C Coaching acknowledges its responsiblity to safeguard the welfare of every child and young person who has been entrusted to its care and is committed to working to provide a safe environment for all members. Anyone under 18 is a child when playing sports. We suscribe to the FA and policy and procedures.
The childs welfare is the parmount consideration.
Racial origin, age, disability and gender are key factors that will be protected.
All children have the right to be protected from physical, sexual or emotional harm and from neglect and bullying.
All allegations will be taken seriously and responded swiftly.
All coaches are CRB checked

It is accepted that the FA aims to prevent people with a history of relevant and significant offending from having contact with children and young people and the opportunity to influence policies with children or young people.
Bullying is not accepted at J&C Coaching and will be dealt with. This includes on social media and all parents will be informed.

2. Codes of conduct-sports

Community
Sport at all levels, is a vital part of a community. Sport will take into account community feeling when making decisions.
Equality
Sport is opposed to discrimination of any form and will promote measures to prevent it, in whatever form, from being expressed.
Young people
Sport acknowledges the extent of its influence over young people and pledges to set a positive example.
Trust and Respect
Sport wll uphold a relationship of trust and respect between all involved in the game, whether they are individuals, or other organisations.
Violence
We reject the use of violence of any nature by anyone involved in the game.
Fair play
The principle of playing to win consistent with fair play

3.Coaches code of conduct

  • I will work with safety and enjoyment for every child
  • Never engage in or tolerate any form of bullying
  • Encourage each player to accept responsibility for their own behaviour and performance
  • Ensure all activities are organised and suitable for all age groups
  • Develop mutual trust and respect with every player to build their self-esteem

4. Parents code of conduct

    • Winning is not everything
    • Children play for fun
    • Applaud effort
    • Remain outside the barriers to watch the children participate
    • Let the coach do the job and feel free to speak to them as soon as the session has finished
    • Never engage in or tolerate offensive, insulting, or abusive language and bullying.

5. Players code of conduct

    • Always play to the best of my ability
    • Play fairly and do not cheat
    • Shake hands after match situations
    • Talk to a coach about any concerning issues
    • Respect all players who participate at J&C Coaching

6. Equality Policy

Everyone is treated fairly and with respect and that we equally are accessible to them all.
Our commitment is to confront and eliminate discrimination whether by reason of gender, sexual orientation, marital status race, nationality, ethnic origin and disability.
Race relations act 1976, sex discrimination act 1975 and disability discrimination act 1995.
Any claims will be dealt with through investigation. A requirement that the practice stop and sanctions are imposed as appropriate.

7. Advice on photos and videos

Potential risks
The inappropriate use or copying of images for use on child abuse websites on the internet.
Child in care may not be allowed on the internet taking part in sport
parental seperation -restriction of photos
a child may be a witness in criminal proceedings.
Please ask coaches and parents for when is the right time to take photos of your own child or as a group photo in an activity
